About the Eye Clinic Västerbotten

The Eye Clinic Västerbotten provides specialist care in the field of eye diseases in Västerbotten and the northern region. Our operations are located at the county's three hospitals in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. We are a university clinic that cares for patients with eye diseases of all ages, from newborns to the very elderly.

About the Position in Lycksele

The Eye Clinic in Lycksele provides sub-regional healthcare to the population of Southern Lapland. The operations are conducted during daytime hours, and we have a clinic and operating unit for cataract surgeries, injection treatments, and external eye surgeries.

Responsibilities

As a resident doctor with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.

You will work together with ophthalmologists on the medical and surgical care of the eye. You will be part of a team working around the eye patient, participating in examinations, diagnosing, and treating eye complaints and diseases, as well as managing eye problems caused by underlying conditions.

Qualifications

• You hold a Swedish medical license with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare at the time of employment.
• You have experience working in eye care and an interest in specializing in ophthalmology.
• You have knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

• Duration: Start date 2026-09-01, end date 2027-02-28.
• Working hours: Daytime.
